A core part of SmART Kinston’s mission is to nurture the arts and facilitate opportunities opportunities for creativity throughout the entire Kinston/Lenoir County community. SmART Kinston works with a wide variety of partners, from local artists to youth organizations, through our Community Arts Development initiatives. These initiatives take many forms, such as collecting oral histories with Kinston Teens, artist in residency programs, and mural projects in local schools and community organizations.
